Turn the enquiries you already have into paid bookings.
An enquiry arrives — from anywhere
A DM, a referral, a repeat client, a form on your own site. It doesn't have to come from us, and most of the time it won't. Drop it in and it becomes a real enquiry with a date attached.
Send a proper quote, not a screenshot
Your packages, your prices, your add-ons — laid out on a page with your name on it. They see one link instead of a message thread, and you look like the business you actually are.
They sign, and it's in writing
Accepting the quote generates a contract with the agreed price, what's included, and your cancellation terms. Both sides sign online. No more "nothing was in writing" when a date falls through.
The deposit lands in your account
Card payment through Stripe, straight to your own bank — deposit on booking, instalments on the schedule you set, balance before the day. You stop chasing bank transfers.
Nothing gets double-booked
Every date checks against your live diary before you send. If two jobs collide, you're warned before you commit, not after you've promised both.

Beyond introductions
Most platforms help you find each other. The hard part starts after that.
Build My Event stays for the part where the booking actually happens — the contract, the staged payments, the follow-up — so nothing falls apart after the introduction.

Quotes, terms, and follow-up scatter across inboxes and invoices.
A double-booking only surfaces when a client calls to ask where you are.
On Build My Event
No lead fees — the proposal, contract, payments, and messages all stay attached to the same booking.
One structured flow keeps both sides aligned, and reminders keep the booking moving.

For suppliers
The work isn't the hard part. Getting booked and paid is.
You already win work — over DMs, referrals, word of mouth. What eats your evenings is everything around it: quotes that get ghosted, deposits you have to chase, agreements that live in a chat thread.
- Sent the price in WhatsApp. Never heard back.
- “Just checking in on that invoice…” — for the third time.
- A screenshot quote doesn’t look like a £1,500 business.
- The date cancelled — and nothing was in writing.
- Said yes to two jobs on the same day — and only spotted it a week before.
Bring those bookings here instead, and every one runs the same professional way — priced, signed, and paid on schedule:
Every enquiry lands in one pipeline
Instagram, WhatsApp, Google, referrals, your own website, or a Build My Event match — no more scrolling DMs to find who asked for what.
You're warned before you double-book
The moment an enquiry, a matched brief, or a proposal you're building lands on a day you're already booked, it's flagged — in the lead, on the opportunity, and in your inbox. A heads-up, not a block: if you run two teams, take both.
Quotes that look like you charge real money
Priced, itemised, branded to your business — and you're told the moment the client opens it, so you follow up while they're still looking.
Terms in writing before you block out the date
A digital contract generated from the accepted proposal, signed online by both sides, with cancellation terms captured.
Deposits arrive without the awkward chasing
You set the schedule; organisers are reminded and pay each instalment on its due date by card or invoice — straight to your bank through Stripe Connect.
The whole booking stays in one place
Messages, documents, payments, and changes attached to the booking — and to the customer's record, so repeat work finds you.
A public page that turns followers into bookings
A booking-ready page for your bio links and quotes, with packages, availability, and a public profile that builds credibility as you complete bookings.
Extra demand when you want it — never pay for a lead
Matched event briefs from organisers, relevant to your services, area, and travel radius. No credits, no lead fees, ever.
- Free to start — useful from your very first enquiry
- 30-day free Pro trial
- No lead fees, ever
- Stripe Identity check before you're matched to events
- Payouts direct to your bank via Stripe Connect
- Card payments processed securely by Stripe

An AI back office for the work around every booking
It works quietly across your enquiries and admin — reading, sorting, drafting and flagging the busywork so it isn't all on you. You stay in charge of the booking itself: it never sees or sets your price, and it never hits send for you.
Grounded in your business — you always review and send
Triages every enquiry
Reads each enquiry the moment it lands, ranks it by how genuine and how urgent it is, and flags what's missing — budget, date, guest count — so you answer the ones most likely to book first.
Drafts the reply — you send it
A warm, on-brand first reply ready the instant an enquiry arrives. It drafts; you read it, adjust, and hit send. It never sends on its own.
Picks the package that fits
Reads the enquiry against your own package list and pre-fills the proposal with the one that actually suits the guest count, budget and date. It only ever chooses between packages you already sell — it cannot invent one, and it never sees the prices while it decides.
Writes the proposal message
A first-draft personal note built from your own package and this exact event — the moment you need it, not a blank page at 11pm. Never generic, never inventing services you don't offer.
Weighs a double-booking
When two jobs land on the same day, Clash Guard's advisor factors the travel time between them and tells you if it's doable, tight, or unrealistic. You make the call.
Writes your package copy
Descriptions and what's-included lists, drafted from the package you're already building — the guest range, the duration, the service. It fills the boxes that otherwise sit empty for weeks; the price stays yours to set.
Writes your profile
A tagline and a bio from what you actually do, or a sharper version of the one you've written. The blank profile is the thing most suppliers never come back to finish.
Replies to your reviews
A considered response to a review, drafted in your voice and grounded in what that customer actually said — including the awkward ones, which are the replies that take longest to write. Nothing posts until you send it.
Across all of it, two rules never change: the AI never sees or sets your price, and nothing goes out until you send it.

Personal message
Hi Priya — a 40th with 40 guests sounds like a wonderful evening. Our Full Evening package is built for exactly this: we'd arrive early to set up, keep the floor moving all night, and take care of the details so you can enjoy it. We'd love to be part of the celebration.

Free for organisers. Fair for suppliers.

Plan as many events as you like, compare suppliers, and book — no subscription. Organisers stay free, so suppliers can win more real bookings.

A £1,000 booking keeps £60 more on Pro than on Free's 6% fee — and Pro's 0% applies to every booking, however it came in. Past roughly £480 of bookings a month, Pro is cheaper than staying on Free.
Whatever you pay is fixed when your client signs. Every payment on a booking is priced the moment the contract is signed by both sides, and that figure is written into the schedule. Move to Free afterwards and the booking still keeps the 0% it was signed at — just as a booking signed on Free keeps its 6% if you upgrade the next day. Work you have already won is never re-priced.
What your £29 a month actually buys
- 0% platform fee, however the job came in — card processing still applies
- A full AI back office — triages enquiries, drafts replies and proposals, and writes your page copy
- Clash Guard's AI advisor — weighs the travel between two same-day jobs so you never double-book
- Faster payouts — to your own UK bank via Stripe, in as few as 7 days
Add it up and Pro is a back office, not a discount — the 0% platform fee is the floor, not the whole point. Start free, and move up when it's already earning.
| Payment | Amount | Our fee, fixed |
|---|---|---|
| Deposit, on signing | £375 | £22.50 |
| Balance, before the event | £1,125 | £67.50 |
| Taken across the booking | £1,500 | £90 |
That 6% is worked out per payment when your client signs and written onto the schedule. Change plan tomorrow and this table does not move — the fee is stored on each payment, not recalculated from whatever plan you happen to be on when the money arrives.
Card processing is Stripe's own charge and is not shown here — it depends on the card your client uses, and it is set out separately below.
Free

Good to know
- Card processing
- Card payments are processed by Stripe and settled on your connected account. The rate depends on the card your client uses — about 1.5% + 20p on a standard UK card, more on a commercial or overseas one. We set aside 2.8% + 20p up front and refund the difference once the payment settles, so you pay Stripe's real cost and nothing more — capped at 2.8% + 20p even when the card costs us more than that. Not an additional platform fee. Refunds are the exception: Stripe keeps its fee on the original payment, so you bear what that card actually cost, which on an overseas card can be more than 2.8% + 20p.
- Multiple workspaces
- Your first workspace is included. Add a workspace when you launch another brand — a one-off £50 unlock gives it its own profile, packages and diary on the Free plan (6% fee on bookings), for good. Each workspace's plan is separate: move any of them to Pro at the standard price whenever it's worth it. The free Pro trial is only ever on your first workspace. Studio, for teams running several brands from one diary and dashboard, isn't available yet — you can join its waitlist from the Studio plan above.
- No hidden costs
- No per-lead credits, no pay-to-quote, and no booking commission on paid plans — where lead sites charge £5–£40 for a lead you might never win, you pay nothing per booking on Pro. Free's 6% — taken from each payment as your customer makes it, and returned pro rata when you refund them through Build My Event, less whatever Stripe kept on the original payment — is the one platform cost beyond Stripe processing.
FAQ
Event booking questions, answered
The questions organisers and suppliers ask before signing up.
01Can I use it with clients I found myself?
That's what it's built for. Most bookings you run through Build My Event will be your own — a DM, a referral, a repeat client, an enquiry from your own website. You send them a quote, they sign, they pay the deposit, and the money lands in your account. You never have to wait for us to send you anything. The marketplace is there when you want more work; it isn't the point of the product.
02Do I have to pay for leads?
No. There are no per-lead charges and no credits — ever. On Free there's a 6% fee, taken from each payment as your customer makes it, on every booking you run through Build My Event — however it came to you; on Pro there's no fee at all. You only ever pay for a booking that actually happens. The fee is fixed when a booking's contract is signed, so moving to Pro removes it on every booking signed from then on (a booking already signed keeps the fee it was signed with).
03What does it cost me?
Free to start, and free forever if you want it — on Free there's a 6% fee taken from each payment your customer makes, and returned pro rata when you refund them through Build My Event, less whatever Stripe kept on the original payment. Pro is £29 a month with no fee at all, so if you're booking regularly it's cheaper to subscribe. That's the whole choice: pay a small share of what you earn, or pay monthly and keep all of it. There are never any per-lead charges or credits.
04Is Build My Event really free for event organisers?
Yes. Planning an event, browsing and comparing verified suppliers, requesting quotes, messaging, e-signing contracts, and managing payments are all free. You only pay each supplier for the services you book — there are no platform fees added by us.
05What kinds of event suppliers can I book?
Sixteen categories, including photographers, videographers, DJs, live musicians, caterers, mobile bars, florists, decorators, venues, entertainers, equipment hire, event planners, content creators, photo booths, makeup artists, and nail technicians — enough to assemble the full line-up for weddings, birthdays, corporate events, and celebrations of any size.
06How are suppliers verified?
Suppliers complete ID verification through Stripe Identity — that earns their verified badge and is required before they can be matched with events through the marketplace. To take payment, they also connect a Stripe account, so money only ever moves through a verified, bank-linked business. Profiles also show packages, real-time availability, and experience — and reviews from completed bookings once they exist — so you can see who you're booking.
07Can I compare quotes and manage contracts and payments in one place?
Yes. Compare structured proposals side by side, accept the one you want, e-sign a digital contract generated from it, and pay deposits, instalments, and balances securely — all inside the same event workspace.
08Can I plan more than one event at a time?
Yes. Each event gets its own workspace with its own suppliers, proposals, contracts, and payment schedule, so you can run several events side by side without anything getting crossed.
09What does Build My Event's AI actually do?
It's an assistant for the admin around a booking — not a bot that books for you. On Pro it triages your incoming enquiries and sorts them by how genuine and urgent they are, drafts a first reply, writes the personal message for your proposal from your own packages, helps fill in package and profile copy, and — when two jobs clash on a date — weighs the travel time between them to tell you whether you can realistically do both. Two things never change: it never sees or sets your prices, and nothing is ever sent until you send it.
10Does the AI write my quotes for me?
No — it writes the message, never the numbers. When you draft with AI (a Pro feature), it writes the personal note that goes with your proposal, grounded in the package you've chosen and the details of that specific enquiry. It never sees or sets your price, and it can't add inclusions that aren't already in your package — your pricing and what's included always come from you. You review and edit every draft before anything is sent. Think of it as a fast, grounded first draft, not an autopilot.
11How do suppliers get paid?
Directly to your own bank account via Stripe Connect. Deposits land when the organiser pays and instalments arrive on schedule. You set the payment terms, and we never hold your funds.
12Is my money safe?
Payments run through Stripe. Deposits, instalments, and balances are collected against a signed contract, and payouts go straight to the supplier's own bank — Build My Event never holds your funds.
