01What exactly do I earn?
15% of a referred supplier's subscription for their first 12 paid months. A Pro supplier (£29/mo) on monthly billing who stays subscribed all year is worth about £50 — a little less (around £41) if they pay annually. There's no cap on how many suppliers you introduce, and each one starts their own 12-month earning period from their first paid month. (Studio, our larger plan, is coming soon — the same 15% will apply to Studio referrals once it's available to buy.) These are illustrative: actual earnings depend on the supplier's plan and how long they stay subscribed.
02What does my audience get out of it?
A genuine deal: every supplier who signs up through your link gets 50% off their first month, applied automatically at checkout — no code for them to remember. On Pro that's £14.50 off. It's a full 50% off the first month on monthly plans, or that same credit off the first invoice on annual plans. Promote it as “50% off your first month” — not 50% off an annual plan. You're sharing a real discount, not just a tracking link.

04How are referrals attributed to me?
Each partner gets a unique referral link and code. When someone opens your link, we set a first-party attribution cookie that lasts 60 days — if they sign up as a supplier within that window, the referral is credited to you. Attribution is first-touch: the first partner link a visitor clicks keeps the credit.
05When and how do I get paid?
Once Stripe confirms a referred supplier's subscription payment, the commission is logged to your dashboard. It becomes payable after a 30-day holdback — the window that lets any refund or chargeback settle — then it's sent to your connected Stripe account using the payout details you add during partner setup.
06What doesn't earn commission?
Free trials, failed payments, refunds, chargebacks, and cancelled subscriptions. Self-referrals (your own supplier subscription) and a referred supplier's extra workspaces don't count either, and each supplier earns for their first 12 paid months only. Commission is only ever created off a real subscription payment that actually clears — so what you see in your dashboard is money you've genuinely earned.
07Does it cost anything to join?
No. Applying and being a Growth Partner is completely free. You only ever receive money, never pay it.
08How long does approval take?
Usually a few working days for public applications. We read every external application properly, then email approved partners with next steps. Existing suppliers may also unlock Growth Partner access from inside their account once their payout setup is in place.
09Do I need to be a Build My Event supplier myself?
Not at all. Anyone with the right audience can apply — creators, planners, venues, agencies, bloggers, and community owners are all welcome.
